Angel falling

Lucifer or Satan is a fallen angel. But before he fell from Heaven, Lucifer was a magnificent being with unique ministry. Unfortunately for him, his pride took over his heart and sin cost him everything. He was created by God like all the other angels, but he had been given a different role from other angelic hosts. Lucifer was mentioned as the 'covering angel'.

Lucifer was recognised by God to be the angel of worship, one whose ministry boarded the heart of Heaven. Lucifer was created to live eternally in the throne room of Heaven, in the presents of God himself.  

In order to be with God forever, Lucifer hade to be perfect. He was not only higher in status than other angels, but he looked it to. There was nothing ordinary about his appearance, decked with gold and precious stones,  he truly fit the name 'Sun of the Morning'.



Fallen angels

Lucifer had wisdom, beauty, capability, perfection and yet he still wanted more. He wanted to be praised and worshiped like God, but God does not share his glory and he does not allow others to be worshiped. So, before Lucifer could make his move, God removed him from Heaven and striped him of his beauty, his position, and his right to be in Heaven. From then onwards, Satan has been plotting  to ruin the mighty plan of God.

The last Angels on the list are the Principalities, Archangels and the Angels.

Principalities

Principalities

Principalities are ‘ruler’ angels that work together, in power and authority, with the Powers. They carry out tasks given to them by Dominions and give blessings to the material world. Their task is to supervise groups of people.

Principalities are guardians and educators of earth. They are shown as wearing a crown and carrying a sceptre.

 

Archangels

Archangel

Archangels are emissaries of the Principalities. They have the most special and protective love for all people and the earth. Archangel is an angel of high ranking.

The word ''archangel'', literally meaning ''chief angel'', is usually associated with the Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. All Archangels end with the "el" suffix.  "El" meaning "in God" and the first half of the name meaning what each individual Angel specializes in.

These angels are closest to the material world and human begins. They deliver the prayers to God and God's answers and other messages to humans. Angels have the capacity to access any and all other Angels at any time.

They are the most caring and social to assist those who ask for help.

Dominions, Virtues and Powers

Dominions

The next three types of Angels in the list are the Dominions, the Virtues and the Powers.

 

Dominions

Dominions are Angels of Leadership. They control the responsibilities of the angels, making God's commands  known.

Virtues


Virtues

Virtues control all nature and are known as 'the Spirits of Motion'. They control the elements, seasons, stars, moons, and even the sun, pretty much the whole natural universe. They are sometimes referred to as 'the shining ones' and have control over miracles, providing courage and grace.

Powers

 

 

 

 

Powers

Powers are known as potentates, which is 'leaders' in basic English. They are Warrior Angels that defend humans and the cosmos by defeating evil. They fight against evil spirits who attempt to inflict chaos through human beings. The chief is said to be an angel of darkness, either Camael or Samael.

Thrones

Hey Angel lovers and Demon loathers Third on the list of the choir are the Thrones. Thrones are Angels of peace, Humility and submission. The angels surround, support and control the thrones of judgment and power in Heaven. They exist in the area of the cosmos where material form begins to take shape. The lower Choir of Angels need the Thrones to access God.  Thrones are closely connected to the Cherubim. Thrones appear as a beryl-coloured wheel-within-a-wheel, their rims covered with hundreds of eyes. Thrones

Cherubim

Hey Angel lovers and Demon loathers

Next on the list is the Cherubim angels. They are ranked second highest in the nine choirs of angels.  They are protectors of the inner chambers of Divinity (Religion). They symbolize God’s power and are guardians of God’s glory.

Cherubim/cherubs are angelic beings involved in the worship and praise of God. The cherubim angels are first mentioned in the Bible in Genesis. Prior to his rebellion, Satan was a cherub.

For my first real post and eight more posts to come,  I will be talking about the nine choirs of angels.The word "angel" is a transliteration of the Greek ''aggelos'', meaning roughly "sent messenger". 

Seraphim

Seraphim angels are the highest order or choir of angels.  They reflect God's goodness and His absolute holiness. They are the angels who are guardians before God's throne. Seraphim's have six wings, two cover their faces, two cover their feet, and two are for flying.
